Weird how the chapter listing drop-down box for this story is empty ... at least the 'next' and 'prev' links work.
In re-reading this I admired again your/Harry's observation that Ginny had no arguments - not one - for why she should have accompanied the Trio on their horcrux hunt. Mind you, Rowling *did* try to nail that option shut with the sudden introduction, at the very end of the series(!), of 'THE TRACE'. Had Ginny accompanied them then the Trio would not have been able to cast spells in her presence, supposedly. I'd like to think bad of Ginny for not insisting she accompany her - *snigger* - 'soul mate', but maybe that might be a bit unfair of me.
After Hermione's slamming on the brakes on her new relationship with Harry I was unsure as to whether, in fact, that relationship actually existed ... or if it was still in the proto-formation stage. So I was relieved to read this chapter and see them walk hand-in-hand, kiss some more, notify Luna that they were a couple and also state same to Matthew Granger. Very good.
I'm a bit confused about what the evil Imogene did, and how much the other Grangers know. Presumably Michael, for example, doesn't know that Hermione is a witch ... otherwise he'd be jumping up and down about it, magic and the like. But if Imogene is such a snake as you/Hermione have portrayed I would have thought she would have blathered everything to every Granger in the place, either before or after she chased Hermione out - HERMIONE IS A WITCH!!! MAGIC IS REAL!! HER PARENTS - OUR BROTHER/SISTER - WERE KILLED BY AN EVIL WIZARD! If Imogene could go off her nut in rage at Hermione then one would think she'd also be equally likely to blurt out the facts to all the other muggles.
Maybe you could have mentioned a 'compulsion spell', some sort of secrecy charm, placed on the letter that Imogene received? Hmmm, but Mr. Granger, being a muggle, couldn't have cast such a protection. I don't know. I'm pretty sure, from what Hermione's cousin said - or didn't say - that it's all still a secret, that only Imogene knows that Hermione's a witch, but I can't see a reason why she'd keep the secret.
Setting up Ron/Luna I see ... sounds good to me!
