Really nice so far, keep it up! Harry's explanation for why he thought he wanted to marry Ginny was very plausible. Good thing he realized otherwise beforehand.

There are two characters I can't stand - Ginny and Molly Weasley. I find both very annoying. That said, I'm glad Harry finally broke up with Ginny and I hope he and Hermione get together soon.

Great update. I think you did a great job with everyone's reactions and emotions. I think you got Ginny best. You had denial, anger, surprise, desperation, fear, hurt and it all flowed well. I think it was important for Harry to feel bad, and even when Ron attacked he didn't defend himself, he took what was coming. In a way atonement for what he did.
I really want to see how Harry and Hermione start forming their relationship. Of course her and Ron need to have a falling out. I think that could be close after what just happened.

I expected Ginny to be more adamant about them staying together or something like that. Somehow, her reaction was a little flat to me.

I am glad Harry realized that he couldn't marry Ginny now rather then later. I hope him and Hermione finally come to their real feelings for each other. I love this story so far and I can't wait to read more of it! Keep up the excellent work on it!

This is about as sympathetic a Ginny as I can imagine: not a bad person (though she still calls her sister-in-law "Phlegm") but she has this vision of her life with Harry and nothing can disturb that vision.

Until Harry provides a shocking awakening. (Rather like his own, I guess.)

Ron's reaction is spot-on, but with luck he'll come around. In time. It always took time in canon for Ron to come back to Harry.

And I love the slow, slow spiraling together of Harry and Hermione. I'd like to see more of Hermione's thoughts, perhaps?

Well, that was interesting. A bit less volatile than I expected from either Ron or Ginny, but I'm certain that there's more to come on that front. It will be interesting to see Hermione's mental reaction to the healing scene.

A very well written scene, all four of them seemed very true to themselves as they had developed through the first chapters. Ginny's preoccupation with the purely external results of the breakup were very illuminating, if she's more concerned about the press coverage than losing Harry then that should tell Harry more about her feelings for him than anything else should.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Well. if Harry wasn't already feeling like a complete ratbastard, choosing that moment to start to realize his feelings for Hermione should do the job. I mean, what sort of scumbag breaks off his engagement to his best mate's sister and less than an hour later is lusting after his best mate's girlfriend, who also happend to be his best female friend?
