You've got a few very small spelling mistakes in there that gave me (being non-native, admittedly) pause... I know JKR isn't above these but still, if you fix those, it's going to be even more of a great story.

Anyway, that's an intriguing start which already raises a few questions. It's also rich in detail, reminds me of Book 5 (my favorite). The H/G interactions are very neat and would also work on a storyline not based on potions, which you seem to be hinting at in the last sentence.
Off to read some more for consolation.

OMFG I just read your opening AN. and i feel so stupid for that rant. Lol, I guess I'm not very up to date on JK's P.A.'s. NOOOOOO0(7 o's btw(you'll find out in the 7'th book)) OMG after writting that I just realized that Portkey is almost dead and that you haven't UDed in almost a YEAR well no point reading an abandoned fic if you ever read this i loved what little of you story I read and hope to get to finish it one day

I completely agree on the whole destruction of Hermione as a person by JK thing, but since i love J.K. I have to defend her so look at it this way: she's just a young girl she's not as mature as she always acted(I like to call it a front and even you say in this story that she has "Defences"). So maybe she has decided to, as McGonagall so famously put it, "let her hair down" and be a red-blooded 16 year-old girl, and maybe her hormones have gotten the best of her, maybe she'll become as mature as she acted, ditch ron(yes i know I didn't put a capital R in ron) and see whats in front of her. Harry!!! Whew!!! O.K. now to your story which was the reason I even started typing in the first place. Gotta love that trademark H/Hr hug. When ron made the deprecating remark about Hr being HG, it was typical ron behavior, which is why I think r/Hr won't last. God I need to quit ranting. This is the longest review that wasn't even about the story I've ever written. I gave a few snorts of laughter when the reporters and stupid questions came 'round. Lol I was writing this review as I read and I noticed that your ending An. said something somewhat close to what I was saying Rofl WELL ANYWAYS, I loved this chapter things are pulling together nicely and I'm about to review again.
